I’m just a big softie when it comes to dogs. Dogs appear as characters in all of my fiction and most days our little Annie is snugged up next to me while I work. The book is coming out in two months (SINK RATE) and I should be blogging things to motivate all of you to be waiting poised over the BUY button at Amazon for the first Sam Deland Crime Novel to hit the market. But sometimes things distract me and this bit crossed my view today. It’s just too good not to share, right Annie?

It’s amazing how these little dogs (Annie is a Maltzu and we have two grandogs, a Shorkie and another Maltzu) keep our house very lively.

My soon to be released SINK RATE is not just a plot driven crime novel. It’s about the lives of the characters, both the good guys and the bad. Molly (rabbit chasing Beagle) and Dutch (black ball chasing German Shepherd) are more than just pets, they are part of the story and hopefully will help the reader “get” the human characters.
