IMMORTAL

AT Trail turn

“Wander a whole summer if you can…time will not be taken from the sum of your life. Instead of shortening, it will definitely lengthen it and make you truly immortal.”
― John Muir

I feel its pull. It won’t be long now until I can return to days and a few overnights on “my” section of the Appalachian Trail. Not only preparation for next spring’s thru but just for that time spent. It never takes away but something is always taken away.

The AT 2016 NOBO’s are spread out from the southern mountains to the Virginia highlands. Hopefully the fires are out and the Trail has survived. In the north, crews are breaking the blowdowns apart and clearing the muddy path. March on, I hope to see some of you as you pass through Rocksylvania.

    • Thank you. I’m sure I will be posting to both my blog/website and my facebook author’s page. It is a grand adventure and will be fodder for much jabber. I am not committed to devices yet. Phone typing is difficult for my fat fingers and aged eyes so some sort of lightweight keyboard may be in my pack.
